MULTIPORT SELECTOR VALVE

A PMMA machined multi-port valve driven by a NEMA-17 stepper. It has 8 inlets/outlets on the stator face and one COM port on the rotor. The rotor itself is a monolithic PMMA component which embeds the spur gear, a rotor seal holder, and the shaft bearing seat. The rotor seal, made of ETFE, is compressed between the rotor and the stator via an adjustable central spring acting on an axial bearing. The valve is homed via an opto-interrupter detecting a mark engraved onto the rotor.
