An MPL3115A2 absolute barometric pressure sensor from NXP was modified in order to allow a connection to a soft tubing for remote measurement. 

A 18G needle was laid over the 0.5 mm transducer port of the sensor and sealed in place using moldable epoxy resin. 

Then, the unit along with some bypass caps was soldered to a breakout board; a mechanical connection was established via cyanoacrylate glue between the needle itself and the board in order to avoid mechanical stress to the delicate epoxy joint during the tube mounting procedure.
