SMALL CAP BANK
This small box houses an high energy solenoid driver.
it discharges the two HV caps (300V) via an SCR (whose driving circuitry is not present in the photo). A small neon along with a relaxation oscillator flashes repeatedly to signal the charged status of the caps.
